After breakfast, discover the highlights of Palermo with this introductory walking tour. You will visit Palazzo dei Normanni, from where you will follow the different stages of its historical urban development. You will admire the Cappella Palatina with its glittering gold mosaics, complemented by marble floors and a wooden muqarnas ceiling. Along the ax which crosses ancient Cassaro, we will discover some of the footprints of the Phoenician settlement, the Cathedral, the hybrid styles of San Cataldo and Martorana churches, and the artistic masterpieces of the Spanish rule. Visit the Church of the former Dominican Convent of Santa Caterina. The convent was also famous for the delicious sweets and biscuits prepared by the nuns.

You’ll then walk to “Mercato del Capo”, one of the oldest and most authentic open-air markets where you can find more than you can ever imagine, in addition to the usual fruit, vegetables, spices, meat and fish. With your local insider you will discover this colorful and noisy market and immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere among delicious, tempting aromas of the local street-food and vendors calling out to attract the attention of the shoppers.

As you explore, you’ll taste three of Palermo’s most iconic street foods in different locations, all while sharing stories, smiles, and authentic moments with locals. A delightful and delicious way to uncover the city’s true spirit.

The rest of the day will be free to explore on your own or with your new friends and Chef Ric Orlando.

Corleone Tour with CIDMA Museum

After breakfast and check out, depart on an excursion to immerse yourself in the rich history and captivating stories of Corleone with our exclusive guided tour. Led by knowledgeable local guides, this offers you a unique opportunity to learn the truths and myths of this town which the movie The Godfather has made fabled in the eyes of Americans. During the journey, you'll wander through the winding streets, marvel at ancient architecture, and delve into the intriguing tales that have shaped Corleone's identity over the centuries. From the picturesque piazzas to the charming trattorias, every corner holds a story waiting to be uncovered.

The tour will finish with a visit of the CIDMA (Mafia and Anti-Mafia Center Guided Visits) to understand the fact and fiction of The Godfather.

We’ll then enjoy lunch at a local trattoria that offers dishes that reflect the authenticity of peasant cuisine, celebrating recipes passed down from generation to generation. A welcoming place to savor the flavors of the Sicilian land and relive the memories of grandmothers' kitchens.

After lunch, we’ll proceed to our next accommodation located in Agrigento area.

Famiata Experience with Dinner at Fontes Episcopi

Chef Maddalena Terrana, a local legend and character extraordinaire, will teach us about the “Famiata.” In Sicily, the wood oven has always been an important element of community, where moments of joy and sharing with friends and family are celebrated around it. This will be an authentic experience including a hands-on cooking class with a local mum. We will make Cuddiruni, a historic type of rustic focaccia with 100% organic ancient grains, grown at the Valley of the Temples nearby. We actually grind the wheat in the kitchen, before getting our hands into the sourdough. The starter for this dough is over 70 years old. It will be cooked in the centuries old wood oven. We will make great food while having incredible laughs with Maddalena and her warm and witty team. Then we will enjoy a 0KM, uber local and seasonal meal.

After breakfast, we'll depart to Caltanisetta area for a visit to an olive oil farm with tasting and lunch.

Olive Mill Visit and Sicilian Lunch in Caltanisetta  

Enjoy a journey inside the company and its history, from the oil mill to the packaging, looking closely at every aspect of production up to the bottle. You will taste 2 extra-virgins strongly linked to the territory, capturing scents and flavors of Sicily. This will be followed by a lunch, discovering Sicilian flavors with selected local ingredients and an excellent glass of wine. Lots of goodness in a single experience rich in tradition and memories.

At the end of the tour, we’ll return to Agrigento.

Discover with your expert tour leader the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, one of the most fascinating and best-preserved archaeological sites of the Greek world. During the tour, you will admire the Temple of Juno, the Christian necropolis with its arcosolia, the Temples of Concordia and Hercules, and the famous Telamon in the Temple of Zeus. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a brief introductory tour with our tour leader through the streets of the city. We’ll walk through Piazza della Repubblica, we’ll see the Cathedral and the Baroque Old Town.

Join a Food & Wine Experience at a historic Marsala winery and discover the flavors, traditions, and craftsmanship behind one of Sicily’s most iconic wines. The experience begins with a guided tour of the wine cellars, offering insight into the production and aging process of Marsala wine. The visit is followed by a seated tasting featuring Marsala Vergine Riserva and two Marsala Superiore Riserva wines from the New Geography line. Tour of the Salt Pans

In the afternoon visit Stagnone Natural Reserve, a charming place, where the "culture of salt" has shaped the territory in the wake of a pluri-secular tradition passed down through generations. The place is today a nature reserve surrounded by windmills and where since Phoenician times the sea salt has been extracted.

At the end of the tour, we’ll transfer back to Trapani for some rest before gathering for a group cous cous dinner at a local restaurant in Trapani.

Private Full Day Tour of Segesta and Erice

This morning you’ll depart to discover some important and historic spots of Trapani’s area. You will head Segesta where you will visit a doric Greek temple built by the Elyms, a mysterious population who colonized the area since the 12th century BC. Enjoy the unforgettable and breathtaking views on the way up to the medieval town of Erice, which is located at the very top of Saint Julian’s Mountain. You will walk along the narrow alleys admiring the historic buildings, the majestic Norman castle, the enchanting facade of the main church. Here you’ll have a tasting of typical Sicilian pastry and the famous “genovesi” at Maria Grammatico pastry shop.

We’ll then return to our accommodation for some free time before enjoying the Farewell dinner and our last night in Sicily.
