Spend your morning learning about the Slow Food Movement. The heart of this movement is to promote traditional gastronomy and local food production. To encourage that, be guided through local food vendors that will teach you about the best ingredients of the area like the famous Garessina chestnut or the Madernassa Pear or the sausage of Bra linked to the presence in the past centuries of a large Jewish community, especially in the town of Cherasco, and produced using beef instead of the usual pork.
After our visit, our tour leader will take us on a short tour of Cherasco before continuing our journey to Alba.
While in Alba, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant.
The afternoon will be free to explore the enchanting town of Alba independently or with your private guide. Begin in Piazza Duomo, admiring the medieval Cathedral of San Lorenzo. Wander through the historic center, discovering medieval towers, Renaissance palaces, and Baroque churches. Marvel at architectural wonders like Palazzo Comunale and the Church of San Domenico. Delve into Alba's rich history, culture, and gastronomy discovering all the secrets behind the truffle at Fiera del Tartufo d’Alba (subject to 2026 calendar).
At the of the day we’ll return to our accommodation in La Morra.
